A Packed Weekend

Don't let the title of this fool you, this weekend was no where near as packed as last weekend when I did the Light UP thing however; it was still full to the brim! I haven't been getting very many hours these past couple weeks, so I talked to my employer about it and she said that it was because the manager (her daughter) didn't know how long I would be working for the City yada yada yada. Which is totally understandable. Anywho, so Friday I worked a couple hours and then headed home for a little bit before going to a new Bible study group on the last Friday of every month. We learned about Saul and can I just say that it was the most enjoyable thing I have done in a long time? I absolutely loved it and learned more about Saul than I ever have. But getting back on track, I had asked to call my boss that night to talk about the hours situation so I did. And the reply ^^ was the one I got. She then told me to come in Saturday. So I worked from 10-5:30 thankfully!! It was great, I mean don't you feel like a full day of work getting things done is completely successful and productive?! I was happy all day. PLUS I had a jesus hangover from the Bible study and I couldn't stop thinking about it and also thinking about how blessed I had been all day.
So after we both got off work Saturday I hit up the boyfriends house and we watched Courageous, now I didn't get to finish because I had to be home before 11, but boy was the parts I saw good! *SPOILER ALERT* when the little girl died I was like WHAT?!?!? NO!! She was so cute and that hair, that gorgeous hair!! Oh man it was so sad. **Spoiler is over now** anyways we watched that and cuddled up because I hadn't seen the cutie bear in a couple days! Then I went home and snuggled up in my bed because it'd been a very long day. So Sunday el padre woke up wayyyy late and we ended up going to the service and not sunday school which was chill with me because lets be honest ladies, who doesn't like getting an extra hour to get ready. Am I right? Then I camped out at church all day, no exaggeration there, I literally got there at 10:55 am and didn't leave until 7ish tonight. So needless to say I'm pretty busted. But it's okay because I love staying busy all the time.
Bobby & Big Juicy <3
But as if working all day Saturday wasn't awesome enough, guess what the mess I did? Bobby and Big Juicy from Lizard Lick Towing was in the neighbor hood for toys for tots and the marines signing autographs and what not. So, I'm pretty much famous now. Oh em gee, they were both hilarious and I couldn't believe that they were in our town! I got about 7 signed autographs to hand out. One of which will be part of my broski's Christmas presents because he loves that show.
For some strange reason I'm really not looking forward to school tomorrow, oh actually I know why. ITS BORING. Especially economics to make it worse the teacher has some kind of personal vendetta against me in his defense I always read in there.. But in my defense I've passed everything in there but one test that everyone else bombed and I made a 60 something. So haha. Take that son. Well, I'm gonna go to bed now, hopefully I'll get to work tomorrow which will mean I'll be needing some serious coffee and energy drinks!

Gus & Relaxation

I feel so relaxed! Sitting in bed blogging after a nice hot shower, putting on my Minnie Mouse jammies, and drinking the holiday classic tradition in this house, sparkling cranberry juice. Thank you Welchs, you're a genius and complete my jolly Christmas mood. That was not the case today however. First of all I was supposed to work for the second day in a row and I got sent home because they didn't have anything for me to do and that irritated me because I NEED A SCHEDULE!! Come on now. I need money, this whole only two days a week is seriously barely enough to give me gas money. Secondly I went to the Dollar General to get some stocking stuffers. Yeah, they had absolutely nothing to get for people. Or maybe I'm just older and pickier but I mean really. Get some cool stuff that parents would love too. It don't all have to be plastic junk. And thirdly people on the road are really rude.

After I finished my shopping extravaganza I headed home and I was okay, relaxed. I am working on a new stocking because my other one which is still cute but it's a little babyish. My new pattern is completely genius. We all know.. well actually I'm not sure that you do or not but I love and I'm talking love owls and mustaches. So it would make sense to do nothing but make an owl stocking!! Ehmm. Check it out. The upclose of the owl is just to show you (though I'm not sure you can see it, sorry it's out of focus) the painstaking stitching that I did around every owl. Yes, it did take forever. But who has a more awesome stocking? Nobody champ. That's who. *I can do a tutorial on the next blog if you'd like.*
I know what you're probably thinking.. Gus? Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I have FOUND the perfect name for my little beta fish. Gus it is. My inspiration you may ask? Well, as usual I was extremely hyper and I was thinking of Cinderella and I thought Gus, he was such a good guy and it's really a respectable name. So after a long discussion with Kolton (Who might I add preferred the name Tony) we agreed to that name since we are his parents! Proud ones too. He's just so adorable. He doesn't eat very much though and sometimes I think he doesn't like me because I don't feed him enough but that's because I put it in there and he lets it sink! But anyways. He's still a healthy little guy.
Brownie Pound Cake= Delicious. I felt festive 'cause who doesn't get tired of box cake? I will do a separate post on the recipe I used and how I modified it. Because BAM. It's tasty. And I made it all from scratch. I am on a conquest to start really cooking and not just getting everything out of the box. I'm sure my future husband will appreciate that. (:  I would also like to say that I'm pretty dadgum excited that 25 days of Christmas is about to start on ABCFamily! It's got to be one of my all time favorite countdowns. I got a candle for my birthday *sugar cookies I believe* my room smells heavenly. It's like a bakery in my room mhmm mhmm mhmm.
Okay I'm going to bed-but I'll be back soon! Don't get crazy.

Victory Dance :D

Oh yes I am SO doing the victory dance!!! Well see I had a puppy named Cooper about.... 2 - 3 months ago, yes had :( And I came home one day to his precious little self been kidnapped, boy was I mad. I was so upset and you can only do one thing to help out that hurt.
Get another puppy! Lol. However my mom was not so keen on the idea and for a long time I have wanted and inside pet, now I was never really to fresh on the whole cat thing but then Kolton (my boyfriend) got a kitty and she's just too sweet!! She's so cuddly and fun. But that got shot down just as quick as the inside puppy. So what do I do you ask? Well I didn't get a hamster because I've been there done that and let me just say I will never ever go there again. You won't get any sleep at all.

Anyhow! I got a fish! I mean what more of a compromise can you get? Really now, it's inside. Not really that messy. He's a cutie bear! and I only had to buy one thing of 3 dollar food that will last me all year. I'm officially a mom. BUT I'm having a little trouble coming up with a name for him.. and I'm absolutely drawing a blank.. (so if you have any suggestions hit me up.) But for now Fishy will do.

Today was my first day back at school after Thanksgiving break. Wow. It completely sucked. Getting up at 6:40? No thank you! But it was an okay day, I didn't realize how much I missed my people in the office that I work with. Jane is always soo sweet to me and spoils me wayyy to much. But hey, who's arguing? My mom made Girtle Buster the other day for thanksgiving dinner with her family and OMG. Let me just tell you it was amazing. I want to do a baking tutorial or something like that, I think it would be fun! Let me know what you think on that too. Well, I'm off to curl my hair for tomorrow and hopefully (but not likely) sleep like a baby!! Until tomorrow, Stay classy San Diego.

Successful Christmas?

Yes, you read that correctly. Christmas. I have been in the Christmas spirit for weeks now which for some people might be a little early; however, I for one could have it all year long because it makes me feel jolly. When mom was out one day this little girl took the initiative to go ahead and decorate that mess before she got home (might I add I did a wonderful job). I have been working for the city lately because my boss is the mayor so she just moves me to where ever she needs things done. So I'm like a personal assistant/city employee/furniture store employee/personal shopper.. whatever you need done, hit me up. I know how to get things done! Like I was saying, I have been working for the city for our Light Up (insert town here) as a manager of it and a coordinator pretty much.
When the time came for the parade line up I helped line them up, I confirmed vendors, I made sure all the equipment was working properly, I hung up thousands of posters, I mean I pretty much moved a couple mountains for this thing to work out. And enjoyed almost every minute of it because I love being in charge of things such as this and watching everything all fall into place. The only thing I didn't enjoy was freezing my butt off in 30 degree weather and printing pictures of kids with Santa. Other than that it was a blast.
Now I'm not really sure what I will do since it's over. Our town decided to bring in an Ice Rink for people to enjoy and hopefully I'll be working there from now on. If not then I will have to start looking and *crossing my fingers* I can find a job waitressing because OMG I would looooveeee to do that. It would involve people and tips and that's what I am talking about! haha
Today I spent absolutely all day at church getting ready for our Christmas play which will obviously be in December but you gotta start early so that you can get some practice in. It went really well although sometimes we went off on subjects just chewin the fat. Anywho we got into an extremely deep conversation at the end of practice about the world and what is excepted these days and honestly it's amazing the things that people think are okay. And most of it is the Christians fault because we've let it  happen and not said anything.
The people in my grade and well every generation is getting worse. And it just makes me wonder how long will we be here? How long will all the terrible things going  on happen? The world is such a corrupted place and before I actually opened my eyes to all the chaos, I couldn't wait to have a kid and be married and what not. Now though? Do I really want to bring a child into this place? I can't imagine by the time the kindergartners get into high school will be faced with. I know at my high school smoking pot, partying, turning gay and raising cane is just the popular things that people do. So when they get into school will it turn into meth, coke, pills.. how far will it go?
If anybody wants to see a change in the world they have to start making it happen and not just wishing it would. Pray about it and take action. This goes for me too because I know I stand by and watch a lot of things that I know are wrong happen when I should stand up for what I believe in. I know this is deep but the world is just so terrible now with war and  hatred like I've never seen. And we teach little kids to love and yada yada and yet the people that they look up to don't live by example and we wonder why kids are doing the things they are and getting into trouble.
But anyways I have been very blessed with a job, clothes, a house, a car to drive, a conscious mind, a family, soap, water, electricity. Things that we really just don't think about to be blessings and gifts but every little hair on your head is a gift. I'm starting out my week with a new perspective and outlook on things. We've got to turn this place around and I plan on trouping out and leading that march (:
I've been on Thanksgiving break this week and tomorrow I have to go back to school (again another blessing) But I have really enjoyed not going to school and I was hoping to keep it that way. Lol but it's back to the grind tomorrow. Although I do have to admit that I do like being on a schedule gives me something to go by. In just a couple weeks I will be out for Christmas break and after that college, job, and high school everyday?!? I am so excited that life is moving forward!
Alright, time to take a shower but I'll be sure to blog this week!!! Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving and a blessed week! <3

Slacking.

Okayyyyyyyyyyy. I know I know. It's been probably over a week since I wrote, however my life took an eventful turn, of course.

Last week we had apply to college day at school which in itself is a task because you have to do everything specifically how the school wants you to do it. I applied to two so hopefully I will hear back from them soon. I am planning on duel enrolling next semester which would be amazing because it would get some of my core classes out of the way and cost me virtually nothing. So I figured I might as well take advantage of it. Also my literature teacher assigned us an essay on a zombie apocalypse. It's about what we would do if one ever happened and let me just tell you that's harder than it sounds. I pretty much just took everything that I have learned from the walking dead and put it into my life scenario.

I switched jobs. I still work for the same person, but she is the Mayor so I've been working for the city for our Christmas program/parade this year. I've got to double check people's work and make sure that they did things correctly because they apparently don't listen. It's insane but I do love it. It's not like the furniture store when you have to wait for someone to come in, I'm constantly go go go. And I love it! Fingers crossed that everything will come out the way we want it to!

I've been absolutely ADDICTED to caffine. I mean I can't stop! Monsters, Coffee, or anything with the word caffine in it. I've been so exhausted the past two weeks and it's really the only thing that has kept me going. There is no such thing as sleep any more.

That's pretty much all I can think of right now. Counting down until Black Friday Shopping!! It's my favorite thing everrrr!           Happy Trails everyone!

Eventful Day

Do you want a piece of advise? Whenever you think you're not going to have a fun-filled day, think again. Usually my days are boring but no, not today.
First of all, I found out who our  president was and that people on Facebook are extremely rude and inappropriate. Let me just say that I can't vote yet, however, everyone is going to have their opinion on everything. That is the joy of America, we're allowed to have our opinion. Don't bash other people's thought's just because you don't agree with them. Also if you don't vote then why are you freaking out?! You probably didn't even follow their campaigns and you're more than likely only repeating what your parents think. And if you were a voter and your candidate didn't win, obviously you're going to be upset, that's understandable. But even after don't let you're pride get in the way. You should be praying for our country. The key word being OUR country. It's so sad that politics and religion can do such a fantastic job at completely separating people. We need to put aside differences especially now that what's done is done and come together, pray for OUR leader, and be glad that we live in a place that we can have an opinion and we can have our own thoughts and not forced into thinking others. I think that's all for that topic..
Second on the list? I got pulled over at school, which wasn't a big deal cause I was almost late and I was feeling like "Hey, YOLO" and it's not like I got in trouble. He just said "You know why I pulled you over?" "yeah, I went through a do not enter spot." "Well, atleast you're honest with me. Don't do it again okay?" "Okay!" See? No harm no foul.. it's just the fact of getting pulled over by a cop that just put a damper on my day.
Third. I got freakin wrote up. Not a big deal either because I never get into trouble (except for today that is). Wanna know what for? Saying the word freak. Now if you know me  the word freak is in my everyday vocabulary. I mean, it's probably said between 20-30 times a day at least  The word is just genius and fits pretty much every situation. But hey. Ain't no thang, That's my first write up and I'm a senior.. I think that's pretty good.
Fourth. It's just rainy and junky outside.
On the bright side I didn't have to work today AND It's Kolton's birthday! So we'll be having dinner later at his house. Chocolate Chicken? It sounds pretty disgusting and it's really a let down because apparently it doesn't even have anything chocolate in it. So it better be good! Cause I looovvvveee to eat.

College Road Trip?!

Okay, so this whole blogging everyday thing obviously is not working out, however; I am still going to blog regularly because my life is so interesting! (NOT) I didn't blog the past couple days for 1. lack of time and 2. I had nothing to even talk about that was in the least bit appealing. But have no fear! Today I skipped school and went on a college tour with one of my very good friends Mckayla. We had the absolute best time. The college was little bitty  and the dorms weren't that bad. They were actually spacious and the bathrooms are freshly rebuilt. Son.
Surrounding the college were little stores and what not. Plenty of places to eat (because that's really what i'm looking for when i'm scouting a college) and more one on one classes. But after the tour was over and we were on our way home, we realized we forgot the dadgum note that says we were there and not just skipping AND then we realized... we just toured a college.  The people that we have come to love (and hate) we're never going to see again after May 24, 2013. More than likely. I'm sure we'll hang out during the summer but it's not going to be like it always has been. I can't decide if I'm sad or what.
I also discovered I have a fear of being stuck in a college with a bunch of kids that I have nothing in common with and I'll end up lonely!! But who am I kidding, I talk to everyone. Literally.. everyone.
SO!!! New subject, I've currently been unable to stop watching The Walking Dead. It's so intense and gross but I just can't quit watching it. And then I found myself  thinking if the world ever did come to a Zombie apocalypse, this would be my plan.
-Go fill up every gas tank, can, jar I could get my hands on.
             -Hit up CVS and Walmart
             -Load up on some weapons
             -Head home and eat supper
Cause let me tell you, I live on a honkin mountain in the middle of nowhere. So it's not like they're gonna come after me. PLUS I'd have some food to be preserving and canning and junk.
Kolton's 19th birthday is tomorrow!! His present? A t-shirt. Not anything massive but come on now.. he can't have me and awesome presents all the time. It's the Cool Story Babe, Make Me A Sandwich. He's gonna love it. And because I can't vote I keep forgetting! Today is election day! Thoughts? Comments  I'm not sure who will win and honestly I don't care because it's not like I have a say in it anyways. But I do hope that everyone who is participating in this voting has really took what the candidates have said into consideration and also their values, morals, and faith. I hope everyone has took the time to really pray about this election because whoever you choose will effect your life, your kids, your neighbors, heck it'll even effect generations away.
I'm gonna have a stakeout to see if I find out who wins! Stay safe & Keep warm.
                                                  <3 Abigail

Forgetful Randomness

So as you can tell from the title of the blog I obviously forgot something. TO BLOG LAST NIGHT!!! I couldn't even believe when i woke up this morning that I forgot! Actually lately I've been forgetting a lot of things even more than usual. I have a terrible memory but now I have a memory like a two year old! Lol. So I made a list of things to do everyday of the week so that will cut down of the not knowing what to do and wasting time.
What else? I'm thinking about doing a program at school next semester called duel enrollment. It's when instead of being at school you go to a college and you get a high school credit and a college credit. I'm actually pretty set on doing it because it's a really good opportunity to go ahead and get your classes out of the way. It would put me ahead of the other freshman if I decide to do it.
I cannot stop watching I Love Lucy!!! When I wake up I turn on the TV and when I go to bed I fall asleep to it. (: Defiantly the best show ever. I really don't know what else to blog about.. I believe me and Kolton are going on a date tonight! I want to go to the Drive In but we'll see. Anyways I will update later if anything good happens!

                                                                   .................................

As I predicted.. absolutely nothing exciting around here happened. So what did I do you may ask? Well I baked of course! A german chocolate cake. ( Lets not tell anyone it all came prepackaged though) It was delicious! And I even limited myself to a very little piece. Could I be any prouder?! I also got my Christmas basket together. Every year my mom's side of the family does a get together and all the women swap baskets with all kinds of goodies in them. My theme this year? Gingerbread! And I even got most all the contents from the holiday isle in the Dollar Store (and I might have took a slight detour and went to Walmart's Christmas isle too..) But I just can't help it! I'm obsessed and already listening to Christmas music!!
My brother also decided to make an appearance. We don't see him much because he moved in with my uncle and got a job and blah blah life happened. So he came home tonight and here's the surprise... he's staying the night! Too bad I have to work tomorrow :( I dont mind  growing up heck I don't even mind having to work. I love having a paycheck! But I want a job in something I'm interested in! Hopefully that will happen, I just need to be patient.
I have also taken on the challenge to read the harry potter books. I've never really been interested in them, however they have been on TV a lot lately and my boyfriend had them so I thought hey, why not? I finished the first one in two days and now i'm anxiously waiting on the second one to be sent my way! It was much more interesting than I thought it would be. It really makes my mind and imagination do some work. I never in a million years thought that Snape was innocent and Quirell was the evil bad man. Did I mention I love to read? (:
I'm so disappointed! It's the second day of November and I still haven't carved a pumpkin! Have no fear! I have set up a pumpkin carving date on Monday! Which will be followed up with pictures. Since entering the blogging world madness I find myself doing nothing but getting on Pinterest, checking my daily dose of ItsJudyTime on YouTube ( afterall she is the one who inspired me to start a blog) and researching other blogs! It's nothing but pure happiness to follow other people's lives and see what crafty things they're up to.
So I think I'll pop in the next disk of I Love Lucy and drift off until I'm forced to work tomorrow.
                              Goodnight world!

Literature & Other Things

     Attention blogging world!

In my literature class we have been studying the Restoration period. Which at first trust me I had no interest in even though I love the subject. But the last week we started in on some poetry, Metaphysical to be exact. I know what you're thinking.. " What in the mess is Metaphysical poetry/writing?" Pretty much it is about the contemplation of life and physical things. So to help us understand (because we were pretty much just as confused as you are right now) we read a story Paradise Lost by John Milton. It's a big ole long thing though so we only read an exerp.
Let me give you some background on Milton. This was during the 17th Century and he was a preacher. The things that he wrote about all fit into Metaphysical because it was what he was contemplating and really questioning himself. From the research I have done on my own, this whole thing was separated into 12 books. The story line is pretty much the fall of mankind and why God does what he does and why it's his way.
The character talks about in the beginning how Adam and Eve took the apple and they sinned. Now if you read the Bible or really in general I figure most people know this story, but for those of you who don't Adam and Eve were God's first creation. They were told not to eat the fruit on the tree but the devil tempted them and they ate it anyway. And there you have mans first sin. So after he explains this he goes into the devil and his right hand man having a conversation. Satan was kicked out of Heaven because he and some rebel angels tried to fight God for all the power, obviously this was a stupid choice because he's the creator. Why would you rattle that cage?
Anyways, they got kicked out and God sent them to Hell. As Satan and his PIC (partner in crime) are talking they say things like- He will never stop trying to take the power from God but yet he admits that God is knowingly more powerful than him. Also he says that he will never stop trying to undo all the good that God is doing. In other words, in every good situation he is going to try and turn it into a bad one. When you finally get to the end the narrator decides that he would rather have a little power in Hell than to go to Heaven. "Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven."
This got me thinking, mostly about the world and his decision. I really don't understand his decision to go to Hell (literally) after so vividly describing the horrors of it. And then I thought.. even though this is a sad thing to come to, most of the people today because of their greediness would rather have some power even if it meant being in a place with no relief or rest or happiness, than to have joys beyond the imagination and continue serving God. I also feel like religion is really just a kicked around "promise" nowadays. Do Christians honestly take their job seriously? Do we live like we would want God to see us living if he came back now.. a couple days.. a few years? People are obviously not perfect and that's exactly why we need God, because he is. A lot of people also question if something bad happens then how can there be a God. But it's because things in life are going to get testy, the waters are going to get rough, and there will be situations that are hard to face. But this is because of the first sin and the sin that continues today.
I know this is a deep topic and I intended on having "Other Things" but I've pretty much wrote a novel. Imagine that. So that's all the food for thought today. Later when Me & Kolton get back from going out on the town i'll post a couple pictures of how the costume turned out! (:
                                     <3 always, Abigail

Minnie Mouse Ears

It's way past my bedtime! However, I promised yesterday that I would put up the tutorial up on how I made the Minnie Mouse ears for my costume tomorrow!!
First, I picked up the supplies. Black headbands, foam sticky sheets, some red ribbon and a hot glue gun.
So what you want to do is take something (I used a lid) to trace or impress onto the foam and cut it out. Refer to the picture above. Next I got my headband and hot glued the foam to it. As you can see, I cut a little round area at the bottom, this is so the foam would really fit securely onto the  headband.
I then cut a black piece of paper and put it on the sticky side of the foam so that it would still be black and i wouldn't have a random piece of white wax paper stuff? on the back. And that's it! You're finished!!
I also tied a ribbon since I am being Minnie for my pair of ears. Which I will be hot gluing on tomorrow.
Hope you enjoyed it! I know it's short but I've got school tomorrow, but don't worry I have a list of topics for tomorrow's blog!
            Peace.Dueces

Never Enough Time..

Okay okay, so I know it i'm in trouble! I did not blog yesterday HOWEVER I do have a very good excuse for it (don't I always :]) So here's the rundown of my weekend! Saturday my boyfriend decided that we wanted to be tourists in our little town because we have never really just explored down town. We have all kinds of little shops and bakeries and the train comes through so needless to say it's extremely crowded on the weekends. Anyways we looked so adorable walking together through town and even got some compliments! After walking around for a little bit we had lunch at a local BBQ place which was by the way a huge thumbs up! Then we headed over to the farmers market for the Fall Harvest Sale. I had way to high expectations for that thing. I expected a lot of cute little crafts and what not. No, it was mostly old granny crocheted stuff=failure.
Once we were done in town we looked in a local Roses for a red skirt. Which I am so disappointed that I didn't find one! Me & Kolton are dressing up as Minnie and Mickey Mouse!! I'm so extremely excited! Then we headed to his house for his brothers birthday dinner. All in all Saturday was a great day with good family and friends.  We of course ended the day with some TV and cuddling because well who wouldn't want to (:
So Saturday one of my friends ask me to go to the last day of FrightFest with her on Sunday  I beat around the bush because I wasn't sure if I wanted to go, but then I thought you don't want to wait until next year so just go! Sunday after church we headed off and let me just tell you-we froze our butts off! But I haven't had that much fun with one of my girl friends in SO long!! All we did was laugh, especially after getting lost in the ghetto. Anyways my excuse for not blogging after all that was I didn't get back until almost 1 in the morning and I was NOT about to stay up and write a blog. If you know me then you know unless it's the weekend then i'm in bed by 9:30, yes you read right.
We also stopped at Walmart on the way back because who doesn't love that place, let's be honest. I had to get some things for our costumes after searching for absolutely forever to find half the stuff.  Then I just got completely lost in the Christmas section because I freakin LOVE that section with everything being so cheap-post poning me getting home.
On a completely different subject, what the mess is up with the freak storm that is about to happen? Honestly I'm a little scared because I don't like storms at all and i'm just very worried about it and all the people involved. I hope everyone is okay! I have a deeper subject, but that's for tomorrow so until then, Toodleooooo!!

Shopping and Politics

Happy friday night! Hope everyone is doing well! Bad news. Today I got my paycheck direct diposited to my account. The good thing is hey I have a job which means I have money. The bad thing is I know I have it and it makes me want to spend it! So of course I took a trip to the nearest Walmart with my boyfran. Usually I don't go over 20 dollars but tonight I splurged and went for.. 30! And came out with some pretty good things.
Which brings me to my next subject. My new eyelash curler. Greatest discovery i have made so far. It's the Sally Hanson sexy curls. Now, I haven't tried it yet but it looks very promising. I also found the cutest black shirt and some delicious looking cookie mix. Pumpkin spice! I can't tell you how much I love fall! It is my favorite season and whenever I get married it will for sure be in the fall. Pumpkin, scarves, coffee, and the perfect temperature weather. Yum! I just love it. OH! I remember that i have to update on what ever happened with my Modern Proposal. It went okay.. it didn't really flow correctly because it's actually hard to be so outrageous and trying to solve something. Then at the end you had to have a legit problem solver.
Another hot topic that obviously is in everyone's mouth are the politics. Now, I'll be the first to tell you that honestly I dont really do that kind of thing publicly because people get their feelings hurt and it's not going to change your mind/opinion anyway so there's no point in it. Anyways in economics we always have to talk about those things and I swear some people are so ridiculous about those things. You should just respect the opinion of others and have your own, ergo the reason for a democracy and your freedoms.
Well that's all for tonight!   -Abigail

Education

So now that it's taken me 50 years to FINALLY figure out that i was doing the wrong thing and using the completely wrong email to try and log onto Google  I have now wasted almost a half hour of my life. Thankfully, there's not much to lose there (: But that's not the topic of this post.

I just recently had to read "A Modest Proposal" by Johnathon Swift in my literature class. Now for those of you who do not know what this is, trust me it is most certainly worth your time to look up. However, if you have heard of this then you know the naturally disturbed feeling I got from reading the essay before I got the explanation. Basically in the Age of Reason 1600-1800, essays were a very popular form of writing and satire was the theme. Satire is simply an overly exaggerated way of making fun.          I.E. if your topic was obesity (don't get panties in a wad, this is just an example) you could send all those people to training camps for X amount of time. If they did not meet the requirements that you had set for them by then, you could send them to a concentration camp. Crazy right?

Swift thought that the problem his country had was not worrying about it's own problems and trying to intervene into other countries. Ergo he wrote a very controversial essay about saving people's time and money. His solution? Eating babies, but only up to one year old because after that they had too much muscle and were chewy. SAY WHAT?!?! Yeah, i thought the same thing, until I found out he wasn't at all being literal, he just wanted to grab people's attention by saying something so outrageous and then presenting the real problem to them. When in reality all he did was piss a bunch of rich white people off (completely understandable.)

Which brings me to a dilemma. I am having to write, with a partner, my own Modern Proposal. In some cases might sound easy, but you almost have to be crazy to make a logical proposal such as the one that we had to read. I did not want to go for the obvious topic, national debt-or anything political for that matter- so as of right now I have decided on government entitlements that are abused. Welfare, Food stamps, disability, etc..

Whatever one is chosen, I'll have to get crackin' since it's due tomorrow. I'll update on how it went tomorrow... I may end up posting it. Today i also took a trip to the Federal Reserve, which might I add was the longest bus ride ever and probably the most boring thing I have ever had to sit through. But hey, who's complaining we all got to skip a whole day of school. Alright it's past my bedtime and day two has a big fat DONE stamp across it! Pat on the back Abigail.

Introducing..

Hello fellow bloggers!

I've decided to become part of this blogging world! So you should probably know a little bit about me, my name is Abigail, I'm a senior in high school about to take the large steps into the world of college(hopefully a dorm) and the real world! Crossing my fingers that I'll get out of town but close enough that I can come back if I wanted to. My dream job is a nurse-well that's the practical one-and I plan on getting my RN. My not so practical job choice? A pastry chef! The area I live in is just not suited to have an upscale bakery, however later on I would like to try. I've got the sweetest boyfriend who I have been dating since October 4, 2011. He's the cutest little bear I know!

I have an older brother who moved out last year after graduating to live with my uncle and help him run the family Heating & Air business about an hour-ish away from where we live. My mom's parents are the absolute sweetest people I know, Pop is a preacher & Mem has to be the best model wife ever. The family is a little dysfunctional but HEY! Would it be fun without that?Describing myself would definitely be outgoing, social butterfly, ditzy, and a complete crazed I Love Lucy fan! She is my favorite ever actress and might I say a total genius! How people functioned without the invention of ice cream, I will never ever know. Also I sing 24/7, there's not a shower, a baking session, or any average everyday task that i do not sing along to.

Even though I'm in high school there is still that insane urge I get to color all the time and blow bubbles. I am trying out a new motto for my life. Everyday is a gift. Everyday is new. Be thankful for what you have and always be willing to give more than you receive. I will also be on a new adventure to try and study my Bible more for obvious reasons. It keeps me walking the straight and mostly challenging narrow way.

That's all for tonight! But rest assured I've excepted this challenge to myself to blog everyday for at least a year. So toodles, until tomorrow!
